Spicy and warm, Black Pepper has historically and is now commonly used to improve circulation and aid in digestion.  This oil is steam distilled from the unripened fruit of the Piper ingrum plant.  Affecting the Digestive and Nervous Systems, Black Pepper’s aroma is comforting and simulating.

Black Pepper’s high antioxidants are beneficial when applied topically on the temples, top of nose, reflex points, and/or directly on area of concern.  It can be mixed sparingly with Juniper and Lavender in a bath to aid with chills or to warm you up.  Note:  this oil can cause extreme skin irritation.  If applying on children or those with sensitive skin, dilute with fractionated coconut oil.

When used to add flavor to cooking, use it sparingly as it has a strong flavor.    If taken directly, dilute one drop in 1 tsp honey or 4 oz of beverage.  It has been found that when elderly patients suffer a stroke, the inhalation of Black Pepper improves the swallowing reflex and increasing cerebral blood flow.
