Affecting the Digestive, Nervous, and Respiratory Systems, Skin, and Muscles and Bones, this oil has a variety of health benefits from relieving upset stomachs, reducing fevers, to oral and respiratory health.
The French have used Peppermint to aid respiratory function, varicose veins, migraine headache, hot flashes, menstrual irregularity, vomiting, candida, asthma, itchy skin, etc. It has also historically been used for centuries to soothe digestive difficulties including heartburn, gas, colic, headaches, and indigestion. One main use of Peppermint is to freshen breath, which is easiest to do with the Peppermint beadlets.
Steam distilled from leaves, Peppermint can be applied directly to affected areas and to reflex points. It can cause sensitization of the skin and can be diluted one drop to one drop with Fractionated Coconut Oil to reduce this sensitivity. This oil can be diffused or taken orally with one drop oil in 1 tsp honey, in 4 oz of beverage, or placing 1-2 drops under the tongue.
